As a Cloud Security Engineer, your mission is to enhance and maintain the security posture of our Cloud environments, ensuring they are secure and compliant with industry best practices. In this key role, you will: Drive Strategic Projects:
Collaborate on essential initiatives that shape the Cloud security landscape of our organization. Architect Security Solutions:
Design and implement robust security measures to protect our Cloud infrastructure. Manage Risks:
Identify, assess, and effectively manage Cloud security risks. Collaborate on Application Security:
Partner with our Software Engineering teams to explore opportunities for enhanced security. Cross-Functional Cooperation:
Work closely with other teams to cultivate a secure and collaborative Cloud ecosystem. Principal Accountabilities Identify and manage security risks associated with our Cloud infrastructure and services. Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards. Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data stored within Cloud environments. Provide input and feedback on Cloud-based security architectures. Build security solutions that embrace DevOps and CI/CD principles, such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams to evaluate and identify secure Cloud solutions. Regulatory Conduct Rules Act with integrity. Act with due skill, care, and diligence. Be open and cooperative with the FCA, PRA, and other regulators. Consider the interests of customers and treat them fairly. Adhere to proper standards of market conduct. Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Cloud-related security issues independently. Experience with Microsoft Azure. Solid understanding of container-based technologies. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, especially Terraform and YAML (PowerShell is a plus). Knowledge of Anti-virus, Endpoint Detection and Response, Vulnerability Management, and Patching. Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Experience with CI tools, such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Experience in pipeline builds, release packaging, and artifact management. Experience with enterprise-wide agile methodologies and practices. Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Understanding of DevSecOps principles and automated security testing. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders effectively.
