Club Development Coordinator

Department: Club Development Team

Location: Motorsport UK, Bicester Motion

Hours of Work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week), Core office hours are 09:00 until 17:30, Mon – Fri

Line Manager: Senior Club Development Coordinator

Direct Reports: 0

Grade: C

Salary £30,000-£32,000

Role Purpose

The Club and Community Development Team is responsible for reinforcing Motorsport UK’s relationship with grassroots competitors, motor clubs and Regional Associations. The Club Development Coordinator has a vital role to play in the development of clubs and Regional Associations and supporting the increase in participation of members.

Primary Objectives

The primary objectives associated with this role will be:

To create and deliver resources to support the development and growth of our member clubs and Regional Associations
To develop and manage the accreditation scheme and support clubs to achieve these accreditations.

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the primary objectives listed above, the Club Development Coordinator will be responsible for:

Processing applications for the Club Development Fund and liaise with the fund panellists.
Administer the Club and Volunteer of the Year and Long Service awards process.
Manage the Club Anniversary awards.
Creating content for Club News on a monthly basis.
Assist with the management of club member recruitment campaigns.
Support the implementation of club consultations to gain insights and better understanding of our member clubs.
Manage day to day club enquiries.
Working with and supporting Regional Associations and clubs to implement marketing campaigns, such as National Motorsport Week.
Supporting the Regional Associations to form new partnerships and relationships with local authorities, businesses, venues, and

Colleges/Universities.
Ensuring Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion principles are incorporated in all participation and initiatives.
Support clubs to understand the importance and engage with Sustainability initiatives.

Core Competencies

Below are the core competencies, knowledge, and skills required to be successful in this role:

Essential:

A knowledge of grassroots and club motorsport.
Previous experience of developing and implementing strategic processes.
Previous experience of supporting and managing groups of people, such as volunteers.
Experience of working collaboratively with others.
A demonstrable ability to work independently.
A history of implementing excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
The ability to demonstrate experience of problem solving and logical thinking.
An ability to work outside of core office hours on a regular basis.
A full and clear UK driving licence.
Authorisation to work within the UK.

Desirable:

A history of developing new and innovative ways of working.
Previous experience of working in grassroot and / or club motorsport.
Highly adept with both PowerPoint and Excel, and conversant with a wide range of project tools from Microsoft suite, Adobe products, SharePoint, OneDrive Google Drive, Dropbox
