CMM Inspector / Operator

6 month contract

£19.50/hour (Umbrella Co rate)

Key Responsibilities

* Manage measurement and inspection requirements across operations, including moulding validations, in-process inspections and non-conformance investigations.

* Set and load a CMM, arrange suitable fixturing and carry out Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

* Make sure the CMM is running as intended, monitoring it to ensure it runs smoothly.

* Analyse measurement data, investigate issues and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

* Maintain accurate records and work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Verification Services to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience

* Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict SOP's and tasks is essential.

* Previous experience in a machine loading / operating or inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial.

* Proven experience with CMMs - loading them before other engineers operate them

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurement data.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

* Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
