CMM Programmer - Contract

£40p/h (outside IR35)

We're looking for an experienced CMM Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing business on a contract basis. My client supplies into various industries inc aerospace, automotive and defence, they are manufacturing complex parts for these industries. 

This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong background in precision measurement and CMM programming, working within a quality-focused manufacturing environment to ensure components meet the required engineering specifications.

If you're confident programming CMM equipment, interpreting engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing quality, this could be a great opportunity.

The Role

Create, develop and optimise CMM programmes for precision-engineered components.

Operate CMM equipment to carry out dimensional inspection and verification.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications.

Produce accurate inspection reports and measurement data.

Investigate dimensional issues and support root cause analysis where required.

Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Support first-off inspections, production inspection and quality improvement activities.

About You

Previous experience as a CMM Programmer within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T and dimensional measurement.

Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.

Ability to interpret measurement data and identify non-conformances.

A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.

Able to work independently and hit deadlines within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
