Job Title: CNC 4-Axis Horizontal Engineer / 5-Axis Milling Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Working Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation (Monday to Friday), 37 Hours per Week
Reporting To: Manufacturing Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate 4-axis horizontal or 5-axis milling machines for high-precision component production.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product accuracy.
• Monitor and adjust machinery to maintain consistent quality and performance.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in line with company policies and safety regulations.

What You'll Bring

• Time-served engineering background or relevant technical qualifications in CNC machining.
• Strong experience with 4-axis horizontal or 5-axis milling machines.
• Proven ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards on precision components.
• Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and using hand tools.
• Demonstrated dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
• Knowledge of machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and the 5S process is an advantage.
