A long-established precision engineering business based in East Kilbride is looking to add an experienced CNC Engineer to its team. Supplying complex, close-tolerance components to a global client base, the company operates in a highly technical, fast-evolving sector.

The Role:

You’ll be working in a busy CNC department, programming and operating a variety of VMC machines (predominantly HAAS), and contributing to the manufacture of precision components.

Key responsibilities include:

• Offline programming using SolidWorks / Mastercam
• Operating CNC machines to tight tolerances
• Manual machining, cutting, and grinding
• Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and work instructions
• Setting up tooling and inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment
• Performing quality checks and maintaining a clean, safe work area
• Contributing to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives

About You:

• Time-served CNC Engineer with experience in a precision engineering environment
• Confident programming and operating CNC machines (experience with Fanuc controls advantageous)
• Good understanding of quality standards and health & safety practices
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a team-focused attitude
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

• Salary circa £35k - £38k (Permanent, full-time)
• 4-day working week (Mon–Thurs, 37.5 hours) – no shift work
