Salary: £25.50 per hour (including 33% night shift allowance)
Location: Thatcham, 10 minutes from the M4
Hours: Night Shift – Mon to Thurs, 19:00–07:00
Start Date: ASAP

This role is based in Thatcham, Berkshire and is commutable from Swindon, Reading, Andover, Basingstoke and surrounding areas. A car is essential to get to site. The factory is located 10 minutes off the M4 making this an ideal location from a number of areas around Wiltshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Hampshire.

As a CNC Grinder, you’ll play a key role in machining high-spec metallic parts using state-of-the-art Studer grinding machines. Working to tight tolerances, you’ll contribute to projects that demand precision, speed, and consistency.

CNC Grinder Responsibilities:

• Operating Studer CNC grinding machines to exact specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accurate machining
• Performing self-inspection using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
• Collaborating with other team members to maintain workflow and meet deadlines

Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience with Studer or similar CNC cylindrical grinding machinery
• Proven track record of working to tight tolerances (motorsport/aerospace ideal)
• Skilled in precision inspection techniques
• Strong understanding of machining processes and quality control standards
