CNC Horizontal Borer (Nights)

We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Horizontal Borer (NIGHT SHIFT) for our client based in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) S35.

Working Hours:
Monday-Thursday (16:30pm - 02:30am)
Pay Rate: £23.70 starting rate, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC horizontal boring machines.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

* Select tooling, fixtures and machine offsets.

* Produce precision components to required tolerances.

* Carry out quality inspections throughout manufacture.

* Make program edits and tool adjustments where necessary.

* Work on one-off and low-volume components.

* Ensure all work meets customer quality requirements.

Requirements

* Previous CNC horizontal boring experience.

* Experience setting and operating CNC machinery.

* Ability to work from engineering drawings.

* Knowledge of tooling, cutting speeds and feeds.

* Strong quality and inspection standards.

* Experience machining large precision components desirable.
