Job Description - CNC Lathe Programmer

Our client is a sub-contract machine shop in the Halesowen area near Dudley. Their field of work includes small batch work, one offs on various small to medium components for the Aerospace Industry.
They are currently looking to recruit a CNC Lathe Programmer on a permanent basis to join their successful team.

Hourly Salary: £16 to £20 DOE plus overtime
Weekly Hours: Mon to Fri - 7am to 3pm

Role and responsibilities:

To programme set and operate CNC Lathes to run efficiently and also set machines for operators.
Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings Metric and English.
Produce CNC programs to manufacture products, on-time and to exact customer specifications
Assist in the development of new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimise performance.
Responsible for machining own jigs and fixtures.
To help train/develop other personnel in all aspects of the cell.

Knowledge/Experience Required:

Experience of setting and programming FANUC, Haas or Siemens controls
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Apprentice trained with at least 5 years' experience.
