CNC Lathe Programmer

We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Lathe Programmer, to join our client based in Batley (WF17).

Working Hours
Monday - Thursday (08:00am - 16:30pm)
Friday (08:00am - 15:00pm)

Pay Rate: Start rate £17ph, can be negotiated based on expereince.

Key Responsibilities

* Programming CNC lathes from engineering drawings.

* Setting and operating CNC turning machines.

* Editing and optimising existing programs to improve efficiency.

* Selecting tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters.

* Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

* Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections.

* Using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and other measuring equipment.

* Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer.

* Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently.

* Strong understanding of Fanuc controls (other control systems also considered).

* Experience working from detailed engineering drawings.

* Ability to manufacture components to tight tolerances.

* Strong inspection and quality control skills.

* Experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining environments.
