CNC Mill-Turn Machinist

Location: Easily commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, and Loughborough
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £34,000 - £42,000 per annum (including shift allowance; dependent on experience)
Shift Pattern: Day shift or Night shift available

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently expanding and seeking skilled CNC Mill-Turn Machinists to join our night shift team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and operate CNC machinery including:
• Mazak (Qt10, SQT200/250, Nexus) using Mazatrol on TPlus/640T controls
• QT200MB 3-Axis with Smooth Technology
• CHNC and TNT with Fanuc controls (ISO format)
• Work on 2 to 5 Axis CNC machines
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings
• Flexibly operate more than one machine where required
• Achieve set production times and quality targets
• (Desirable) Use of CMM for measurement and inspection

Essential Requirements:

• Time-served Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Machinist
• Experience with 2 to 5 Axis machining
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working under guidance
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Exposure to both Milling and Turning
• Familiarity with Mazatrol and Fanuc programming
• CMM usage for quality control
