Join a well-established specialist engineering business producing high-quality components for the automotive sector. This CNC Machinist role offers the opportunity to work across CNC turning and milling while contributing to new programmes, fixtures and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC turning and milling machines safely to produce quality components.
Set existing CNC programmes, fixtures and tooling.
Create and validate new programmes using SolidWorks and CAM.
Optimise machine runtime and prepare materials for upcoming jobs.
Carry out first-off inspections and support quality processes.
Troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues.
Work with engineering and production teams to improve complex manufacturing processes.
Suggest improvements to tooling, routing, processes and drawings.
Skills & Knowledge Required

Minimum 3 years’ CNC machining experience.
Essential experience with Haas, Heidenhain, SolidWorks and CAM.
Experience machining castings and forgings is highly desirable.
Ability to self-manage, prioritise work and solve problems effectively.
Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
Creative and adaptable approach to manufacturing challenges.
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
Automotive industry experience or interest is desirable.
