CNC Machinist / CMM Inspector

Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of an aerospace manufacturer to recruit a skilled and experienced Machinist / CMM Inspector.

Location: Sheffield
Shift: Mornings & Afternoons
Salary: £33,471 (including shift allowance)

Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, setting, and programming CNC machines, as well as performing precise inspection tasks using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using CMM and other measuring tools to ensure components meet quality standards.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, measurements, and machine settings.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve any machining or quality issues.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Machinist, CNC Operator, or similar role.
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines.
- Experience with CMM inspection, including programming and operation.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
