CNC Machinist (Turning)

Position 1 Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering company in Norwich, who are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their precision engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in CNC turning, sliding-head and conventional CNC machines, producing complex, high-precision components to tight tolerances.

Salary: Negotiable

The Role

* Set and operate CNC machining equipment.

* CNC programming and editing.

* Work with live tooling, sub-spindles and bar feeders.

* Manufacture complex and precision components.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Set and adjust tooling, offsets and machine parameters.

* Work to tight tolerances and demanding specifications.

* Carry out quality checks to ensure components meet requirements.

About You

* Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Turner.

* Experience with sliding-head CNC machines.

* Strong CNC turning and setting/operating experience.

* Experience working in precision engineering.

* Aerospace or AS9100 experience would be advantageous.

* Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.

* High standards of quality and attention to detail.

* Flexible and able to work across different machines and applications.
