CNC Miller

Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the oil and gas industry to recruit a skilled CNC Miller. The successful candidate will play a key role in the machining team, producing precision parts to tight tolerances using CNC Milling machines.

Role: CNC Machinist – Milling
Shift: Day shift only
Location: Stockport
Salary: Competitive

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Milling machines
• Manufacture components from engineering drawings in line with company quality procedures
• Carry out self-inspection using various measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, etc.)
• Perform preventative and general maintenance checks
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and follow the 5S program
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation

Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience setting and operating CNC Milling machines
• Confident in editing and proving out CNC programs
• Sound understanding of geometrical tolerances
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Strong team player with a can-do attitude
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
• Engineering Apprenticeship or similar qualification required
• Fanuc control experience advantageous
• Previous oil & gas industry experience preferred but not essential
