Job Description - CNC Miller

Position: CNC Miller
Location: Fareham
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 p.a
Hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join a precision engineering team known for delivering complex components to demanding customers worldwide. The role involves operating, setting, and running advanced CNC milling machines within a highly regulated AS9100 Rev D environment, producing high-quality parts to exacting tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

Programme set and operate 5-axis Mazak CNC milling machines using Mazatrol controls.
Manage tooling requirements and perform precise tool setting.
Adjust machine offset coordinates to maintain consistent manufacturing accuracy.
Work with High Tensile and Ultra High Tensile materials.
Interpret engineering drawings and route cards accurately.
Carry out first-off inspections and complete required documentation correctly and promptly.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working area.
Consistently deliver high-quality work on large batch productions.
Work effectively as part of a team adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Experience working as a CNC Miller Setter/Operator in an engineering environment.
Proven experience with Mazak 5-axis milling machines and Mazatrol CNC controls.
Strong tool setting expertise and understanding of tooling requirements.
Experience working with high-specification materials and tight tolerances.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and route cards.
Competence in using handheld precision measuring instruments
