CNC Miller

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a specialist Engineering company, based in Irvine, Ayrshire. Due to continued growth and success, they are recruiting for a CNC Miller to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working Hours: Day Shift & Night Shift (Weekly Rotation)

WEEK 1: Monday to Friday (07:30 AM until 16:30 PM)
WEEK 2: Monday (22:30 PM until 07:30 AM) & Tuesday to Thursday (21:30 PM until 07:30 AM)

Salary: £41,000 per year (Equivalent of £20.50 per hour)

Duties & Responsibilities

* Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.

* Programming, setting, and operating Mazak CNC milling machines using Mazatrol controls.

* Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

* Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications in order to produce components to the correct standards within the estimated production times.

Requirements

* Previous experience within CNC milling.

* Experience with Mazak machinery is preferred.

* Programming ability using Mazatrol controls is preferred.

* Working knowledge of relevant tooling applications and machine tool capability including tool feed and speeds required to achieve efficient cycle times.

* Accuracy and attention to detail.

* Good communication skills.

* Flexible and adaptable to change.
