CNC Miller

Our client is looking for a CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join their team on the late shift in the Basingstoke area.Duties will include but not be limited to:* Setting and operating both horizontal and vertical CNC Mills with Fanuc & Yasnac controls.* Selecting correct tools, fixtures and programs for CNC machines. * Re-setting machines for operators when required.* In cycle and final de-burring prior to passing on to the next stage of production.* Reading engineering drawings and programme for CNC machines. * Carry out in-process inspection to drawing specification using a variety of measuring equipment e.g., micrometers. * Management of programming updates and programming for new components. * Adhere to company quality standards and procedures.Ideally, you will have:* A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.* Accurate numeracy skills and attention to detail.* Experience manufacturing precision components for the Aerospace or Motorsport industry.* Knowledge of Fanuc and Yasnac controlled horizontal & vertical CNC mills will be an advantage.Please note that this is a Late Shift, Monday to Thursday type of role, 40 hours per week.Working hours are 14:00 - 00:30 for which our client is willing to pay between £16 - £19 per hour (depending on experience) + late shift premium.
