CNC Miller / CNC Setter Operator

The Agency is recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding precision engineering company for an experienced CNC Miller / CNC Setter Operator.

The Role

As a CNC Miller, you'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machining centres, producing precision components to tight tolerances while maintaining exceptional quality, efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC milling machines and CNC machining centres

* Edit CNC programs and tooling offsets where required

* Manufacture precision-engineered components to engineering drawings

* Produce components to tight tolerances

* Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks

* Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges

* Read and interpret engineering drawings

* Maintain quality, productivity and health & safety standards

* Support continuous improvement initiatives

* Work closely with production and quality teams

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

* Previous experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Setter Operator, CNC Machinist or CNC Milling Machine Operator

* Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines or machining centres

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

* Excellent attention to detail

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a skilled engineering team

Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Heidenhain, Mazak or similar CNC controls would be advantageous
