5S Recruitment is recruiting a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator for an established precision engineering manufacturer investing in its people, equipment and production capability.

This is a hands-on machining role producing precision components to engineering drawings. If you have experience in 3 and 5-axis CNC milling, Fanuc controls and a careful approach to setting and inspection, this opportunity will put those skills to good use.

The Role

Working within the components manufacturing team, you will:

Produce programmes using CAD/CAM software for 5-axis CNC milling.

*

Set and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls.

*

Manufacture precision components to technical drawings and specifications.

*

Carry out in-process and final inspection to maintain accuracy and quality.

*

Work to production schedules and efficiency targets.

*

Follow quality procedures within an ISO 9001:2015 environment.

*

Complete daily machinery checks and maintain a safe, organised workspace.

*

Work closely with the Production Manager and Team Leaders to resolve machining issues.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator role, you will need:

*

A minimum of three years’ experience in 3 and 5-axis CNC milling.

*

Experience using Fanuc control systems.

*

The ability to read engineering drawings and inspect precision components.

*

An understanding of ISO 9001 quality procedures.

*

Computer literacy, including experience using MRP systems.

*

Practical problem-solving skills and a sound understanding of workshop health and safety.

Strong CAD/CAM programming and G-code experience would be an advantage, alongside an engineering qualification or CNC specialism. Experience with automation or training other machinists would also be useful.

Working Hours

Day and evening shift opportunities are available.

Day Shift

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am–4.30pm.

*

Friday: 7.30am–1.30pm.

Evening Shift

*

Monday to Thursday: 4.45pm–3.15am.

*

Friday off.
