The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing company based in Portsmouth, is currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller / Setter to join their skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components and enjoys working within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC milling machines
Manufacture precision engineered components in line with customer specifications and engineering drawings.
Interpret and work accurately from technical drawings and job instructions.
Use precision measuring equipment to inspect components and maintain tight tolerances.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality output.
Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow.Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Experience with Heidenhain controls is essential.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience operating CNC lathes.
Experience with EDM processes.
Background in high-precision manufacturing environments.What's on Offer?
