Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Location: Basildon
Salary: £21.58 per hour (including shift allowance)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shifts: Two-shift rotation

• Early Shift: Mon-Thurs, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm; Fri, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
• Late Shift: Mon-Thurs, 1:45 pm - 9:45 pm; Fri, 1:15 pm - 8:45 pm

About the Role

We are looking for experienced CNC Machine Operators, including CNC Millers and CNC Turners, to join our team at a well-established precision engineering company based in Basildon. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality components using CNC machinery in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

You will join a team of 19 machinists and report to the Shopfloor Team Lead under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Load raw materials and unload finished products
• Operate CNC machines to cut, grind, and drill materials as required
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and cutter paths to achieve accurate results
• Adhere to safety protocols and operating procedures at all times
• Conduct machine inspections and log production data and maintenance needs
• Ensure tools and materials are adequately stocked to reduce downtime
• Collaborate effectively with team members and support production needs

Required Skills & Experience

• Time-served CNC background or equivalent practical experience
• CNC Milling or Turning expertise (a combination is ideal)
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Knowledge of health, safety, and manufacturing procedures
