CNC Miller Setter/Operator

Position: Full-Time CNC Miller Setter/Operator

Company: Busy engineering business supplying a wide variety of end customers.

Role Overview:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC Mills.
• Report to the milling section supervisor.
• Integral to the manufacturing process.

Shifts Available:

• Early Shift: 5 days/week, 39 hours, 10% premium.
  
  
  • Monday - Thursday: 05:00 - 13:30
  • Friday: 06:00 - 13:30
• Day Shift: 5 days/week, 39 hours.
  
  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 - 15:30
• Evening Shift: 4 days/week, 39 hours, 10% premium.
  
  • Monday - Thursday: 11:30 - 21:45

Essential Skills:

• Experience with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to set and operate CNC Mills.
• Proficiency in reading programs and making adjustments.
• Capability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment.
• Good housekeeping and positive working attitude.

Advantageous Skills:

• Programming CNC mills or lathes.
• Setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Experience with Doosan Mills machinery.
• CAD/CAM expertise (OneCNC-XR9 Mill 3D Expert).
• Using a CMM (Aberlink Axiom Too).
• Operating/setting Citizen sliding heads.
• Knowledge of 5S and SPC.

Compensation:

• Salary up to £35K.
• Overtime available, paid at time and a third; weekends at time and a half.
• Yearly performance bonus and annual reviews.
