CNC Miller – Setter/Operator

Location: Ascot, Berkshire (Commutable from Bracknell, Woking, Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Reading and surrounding areas)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday (45-hour week)

We are recruiting a CNC Miller – Setter/Operator for a high-precision engineering and manufacturing environment based near Ascot, Berkshire.

This role sits within a well-established machining department, producing tight-tolerance, high-quality components used in demanding, performance-critical applications. The position suits an experienced CNC Miller who is comfortable setting and operating machines, running multiple jobs, and working to exacting quality standards.

CNC Miller – Setter/Operator Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components

* Work from detailed engineering drawings and job packs

* Run multiple machines simultaneously where required

* Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and repeatability

* Carry out basic checks and adjustments to ensure parts meet specification

* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working area

* Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met

CNC Miller – Setter/Operator Profile

* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CNC Miller / Setter / Operator

* Confident setting and operating CNC milling machines

* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Comfortable managing workload across more than one machine

* Well organised with excellent attention to detail

* Experience with Mazak or Fanuc controls is desirable
