CNC Operator

Our client is an established Leeds-based specialist manufacturer that designs and produces bespoke products used within care homes, hospitals and other healthcare environments across the UK. Their products are manufactured to order at their Leeds facility, with a strong focus on quality, durability and creating practical solutions for specialist care environments. Find Memory Care
They are now looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their manufacturing team in LS12.
Duties
- Operating manual CNC machinery to cut and process wooden boards and products
- Manually loading boards/materials onto the machine
- Positioning and securing products correctly before machining
- Manually removing and moving boards once completed
- Setting and adjusting the CNC machine for different jobs
- Working accurately to measurements and job specifications
- Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
- Handling and moving wooden boards around the production area
- Supporting other manufacturing duties when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Skills:

Previous CNC operating experience is essential
Experience operating manual CNC machinery rather than solely automated machinery
Experience working with wood, timber or wooden boards would be highly beneficial
Confident manually loading, positioning and moving products
Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on manufacturing environment
Able to work accurately to measurements and specifications
Good attention to detail
Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping
