What Will You Be Doing?

Working within a busy precision engineering department, you'll be responsible for setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines, producing components to exact specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines.

*

Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

*

Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings.

*

Carrying out dimensional checks and inspecting your own work.

*

Using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.

*

Making adjustments to machining processes where required.

*

Identifying and resolving machining issues to minimise downtime.

*

Working closely with colleagues to meet production requirements.

*

Supporting machine maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

*

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What Experience Do You Need?

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Machinist or CNC Setter/Operator.

*

Hands-on experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines.

*

A good understanding of machining processes and precision engineering.

*

The ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings.

*

Experience working to tight tolerances.

*

Confidence using measuring and inspection equipment.

*

Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.

*

A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Experience within aerospace or another high-precision manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
