CNC Miller – Setter / Operator
3-Axis Milling | Fanuc i-Series | Day or Evening Shift

5S Recruitment is recruiting a CNC Miller – Setter / Operator for an established precision engineering manufacturer continuing to invest in its people, machinery and manufacturing capability.

Working within the components manufacturing team, you will set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce accurate components from engineering drawings. This opportunity suits a machinist who takes pride in their workmanship and maintains consistent quality throughout production.

Day and evening shift opportunities are available.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager and Team Leaders, your responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines using Fanuc i-Series controls.

*

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and component specifications.

*

Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks.

*

Producing machined components to the required quality standards.

*

Completing daily machinery checks and reporting faults or concerns.

*

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

*

Working closely with colleagues to meet production requirements.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this CNC Miller – Setter / Operator position, you will need:

*

A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar CNC machining role.

*

Experience using Fanuc i-Series controls.

*

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.

*

Previous experience working to defined manufacturing quality standards.

*

Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to component inspection.

*

Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.

*

A reliable approach to work and the ability to contribute effectively within a production team.

Experience within a precision engineering environment would be advantageous.

Working Hours

Day Shift

*

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am–4.30pm.

*

Friday: 7.30am–1.30pm.

Evening Shift

*

Monday to Thursday: 4.45pm–3.15am.

*

Friday off.
