CNC Operator / Setter / Programmers

Location: Nailsea, North Somerset, 

? Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience

? Hours: 38.75 hours per week

? Shift: Permanent day shift, with an early finish on Fridays

? Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am-4:45 pm | Friday, 7:30 am-12:30 pm

?? Holiday: 33 days including bank holidays, increasing to 35 days with length of service

? Pension: Company pension contributions matched up to 6%

About the Opportunity

Hawk3 Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Operator / Setter / Programmer to join their precision engineering and manufacturing team in Nailsea, North Somerset.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.

Write and edit milling toolpaths using FANUC CNC programming language.

Set up CNC machinery, fixtures, tooling and inspection equipment.

Operate and set CNC mills, with experience using Haas CNC machines preferred.

Manufacture components to customer specifications and required tolerances.

Measure and inspect components using appropriate quality inspection methods.

Carry out minor routine maintenance to support the day-to-day running of machinery.

Maintain a safe, clean and tidy working environment.

Identify and report errors or concerns with existing paperwork, CNC programmes and machine setups.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Experience in CNC milling, setting and programming.

Confidence reading and writing FANUC CNC programmes and toolpaths.

Experience operating and setting Haas CNC mills is advantageous.

Knowledge of plastics machining and precision manufacturing is desirable.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, ideally Fusion 360 or OneCNC.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Experience with a range of quality inspection methods.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.

A responsible, reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work as part of a team.
