Job Description - CNC Programmer

Position: CNC Programmer/Setter
Location: Halesowen
Hours: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm - rotating weekly
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 including shift allowance.

I am pleased to be recruiting for a CNC Programmer who also has manual lathe operating experienced for our Halesowen based client who is one of the market leaders in the heavy engineering sector.

The successful CNC Programmer will have the following experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter
  • Exposure to understanding and following basic CNC programs. (Siemens preferred but not essential).
  • Working from engineering drawings to plan out how to most effectively machine each component.
  • Use of overhead cranes though training will be provided.
  • Checking and inspection of own work at beginning, in process and completion of work.
  • Working to engineering drawings

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A logical and analytical approach
  • Good attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently.
