KC Engineering Bearings Ltd is a white metal repair and manufacturing company in Consett, Co Durham. Manufacturing is predominately made-to- order according to customer designs and specifications. Repair of bearings components are either according to drawings or to inwards inspection of damaged components. This results in a huge amount of product variety, complexity and customer requirements.

Job Summary

This vacancy is for someone to work with our production team to provide support in the CNC machine shop operating/programming Mazak 200Y/Mazak 300Y/Mazak J300 5 axis turn/mill centre.

Key Skills and Experience

* Time-served CNC Turner with experience of Mazak programming is essential

* Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.

* Machining to drawing or instruction, general tolerances +/-0.1mm

* Final machining of product to drawing or instruction, tolerances 0.02mm

* Turning/Milling, working to similar tolerances as above.

Person Specification

* Experience working in engineering/production environment

* Good organisational skills

* Reading of engineering drawings is essential.

* Good communication skills, verbal and written.

* Experience of tolerances and using both metric and imperial measurements is beneficial

* Knowledge of geometric tolerances is advantageous

* Flexibility and understanding pressures of delivery is essential due to the demand of clients in breakdown situations.

Package

* Salary: £31,746.00 - £33,862.40, depending on skills and experience (£16.50 to £17.60 per hour) plus 25% shift premium after successful completion of probationary period.

* 37 Hours per week:

* Day Shift Monday to Thursday 06:00 – 14:00 Friday 06:00 - 13.30

* Back Shift Monday to Wednesday 13:45 - 23:45 Thursday 13:45 - 22:45

* Pension – 3% Company Contribution

* Overtime Rate Applicable

* 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
