Machine Setters (CNC Turners) – Multiple Roles Available

£35,000+ (Depending on experience – higher for CNC Programmers)

A leading engineering and manufacturing business with a newly opened, cutting-edge facility in Stockport is looking to add multiple CNC Machine Setters (Turners) to their growing team. Whether you're a solid setter/operator or bring additional programming experience to the table, there’s a place for you here.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Set and operate a variety of CNC turning machines (Fanuc, Citizen, Doosan, Mori-Say, Sliding Head, Twin Spindle & Turret setups)
• Ensure daily output targets are met with top-quality results
• Work to engineering drawings with minimal supervision
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and contribute to a safe, clean environment (5S)
• Support in minimising downtime and continuously improving processes
• Flex across teams when required to support growth and delivery

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience setting CNC lathes/turning machinery – programming skills are a bonus
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• High attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a proactive attitude
• Qualifications in Engineering/Machining (or relevant hands-on experience)
• Previous exposure to medium-to-high volume production is ideal

Nice to Have:

• Experience with batch runs from 1 to 1,000+ units
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Citizen, or Mori-Say multi-spindle machines
• A collaborative, flexible mindset and drive to grow with the company
