CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator – Night Shift

Location: Redditch
Salary: Competitive + Night Shift Allowance
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 20:00 – 06:00
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

An established precision engineering company is seeking a skilled CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator to join their dedicated night shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in CNC sliding head machines, including both guide bush and non-guide bush setups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC sliding head machines, including bar feed and tooling.
• Confidently set repeat jobs to meet quality control standards.
• Make program amendments to support continuous improvement.
• Program new components from 2D drawings, including:
  
  • Internal and external turning
  • End working (milling/drilling)
  • Cross working
• Change tooling as required and ensure machines are safely set to run unattended for extended periods.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with program editing and creation.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
