Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer on behalf of a client in Hortonwood, Telford. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Your expertise will help ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and the delivery of top-tier products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment. Hour of work are Monday - Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm and Friday 7.30am-3.15pm. Duties * Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment according to specifications. * Program CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and SolidWorks to create precise machining instructions. * Operate CNC equipment for milling, grinding, and other machining processes, ensuring optimal performance and quality. * Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. * Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, tooling adjustments, and minor repairs as needed. * Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure parts meet design specifications. * Conduct quality inspections using basic math skills and measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. * Support plastics injection molding processes by understanding material properties and tooling requirements. * Assist with welding, assembly, and finishing tasks to complete finished products. * Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, and inspection results for traceability. Experience * Proven experience as a CNC setter/operator/programmer in a manufacturing environment. * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience with milling machines, grinders, or similar equipment. * Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or other design programs used for programming CNC machines. * Knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machine calibration techniques. * Experience working with plastics injection molding processes is a plus. * Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and basic math for measurements and calculations. * Background in welding or assembly work is advantageous but not required. * Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
