Personnel Selection is seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Programmer who enjoys hands-on machining, solving practical problems and producing high-quality components This is a great opportunity to join a busy, well-established manufacturing team based at our client in Hampshire, working with Drill CNC mills, saws and manual machines.
You’ll be joining a role where your machining knowledge, attention to detail and ability to keep production moving will be genuinely valued. You’ll be working in a machine shop environment, so the role may involve noise, swarf, coolants and some manual lifting. Safe working practices are essential. THE ROLE:
Set, programme and operate Robo Drill CNC mills, saws and manual machines. Set up tooling correctly so components are produced accurately to drawing dimensions and tolerances. Carry out efficient machine changeovers to help reduce downtime and keep production on track. Inspect and measure machined components using appropriate equipment. Use Renishaw probing/software and maintain tooling and programme information on Seiki system software. Troubleshoot machining, setting and programme issues, recommending improvements where needed. Support continual improvement so parts are produced as efficiently and effectively as possible. Keep machines, equipment and work areas clean, safe and well maintained. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Experience setting and programming Robo Drill CNC mills. Working knowledge / understanding of Renishaw probing/software. Good understanding of CNC machining, including milling and turning processes. Confident using manual machinery, hand tools and inspection measuring equipment. Ability to read engineering drawings and work accurately to specifications and tolerances. A quality-focused approach, good attention to detail and pride in your work. Good communication skills and a practical, team-focused attitude. Ideally 3–5 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing or machine shop role. A recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification and CNC programming experience are required. A good understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing facility. PAY, HOURS AND BENEFITS:
Pay: Starts from £21.24+ per hour depending on experience level Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 16:45, with a 45-minute lunch break. Friday: 08:00 to 13:30, with no lunch break — enjoy an early finish every week. Holiday: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays. Additional benefits: Company sick pay, pension and a non-contractual profit-related payment
