💰 Double Days: £14.01 per hour + 18% shift allowance (£16.53 per hour equivalent) | £32,228 per annum
💰 Permanent Nights: £14.01 per hour + 30% shift allowance (£18.21 per hour equivalent) | £37,877 per annum

Shift Patterns

Double Days (37.5 hours per week)

Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
Permanent Nights (40 hours per week, paid breaks included)

Monday to Friday
22:00 - 06:00

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Havant.
Working within a modern machining environment, you will be responsible for setting and operating sliding head CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components for a range of demanding industries. Key Responsibilities

Set and operate Sliding Head CNC machines.
Carry out tooling changes, offset adjustments and machine set-ups.
Produce precision components to tight tolerances and customer specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections.
Use a variety of precision measuring and inspection equipment.
Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production efficiency.
Ensure quality, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this role, you should have:

Previous CNC machining experience.
Experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Understanding of machining principles, tooling and cutting data.
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.
Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
A proactive and reliable approach to work.

Desirable Experience

Previous Sliding Head CNC experience.
Experience editing offsets and making tooling adjustments.
Experience within a precision engineering or high-volume manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently and solve production issues effectively.
