Job Description - CNC Turner

CNC Turner Package and Benefits for the CNC Turner: (must be authorised to work in the UK)

£21-24 per hour
The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available.
Hours are Monday – Wednesday 4.30pm – 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm – 1.30am.
Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period

Syntech Recruitment are partnered with this precision engineering business and are on the lookout for a skilled CNC Turner (must be able to program from engineering drawings) for their "late shift".

CNC Turner Requirements:

Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating 2-axis turning machines.
Ability to write new CNC programs long-hand at the machine with minimal supervision.
Experience in editing prewritten programs, full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
Proficient in in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
Capable of producing one-off, low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
Excellent working knowledge of 2-axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous.
Strong work history within the manufacturing industry in a machine shop environment.
Hands-on, quality-driven, positive, and self-motivated manner.
Confident in working on parts up to Ø300mm x 3m in length, with provided lifting equipment. Hoist training will be provided.
