EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Long Eaton, that is currently in the market for a CNC Miller / Programmer to join their company on a permanent basis.

This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting market leading customer with complex machining requirements.

Responsibilities

Due to internal changes and off the back of continued success, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to develop, programme, and optimise CNC machines to produce high-quality components.

Your responsibilities will include:

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce components in line with technical drawings and specifications.

You will:

• Set up CNC Turning and other machining equipment, ensuring accurate calibration and alignment


• Operate CNC machinery to produce high quality components according to technical drawings and specifications


• Adjust programmes as necessary to optimise machining processes, improve efficiency, and maintain quality standards


• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment


• Handle materials safely, including loading raw materials and managing tooling requirements


• Utilise hand tools and basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks


• Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in CNC Turning within an engineering/manufacturing environment


• Ability to set, operate and edit as a minimum


• Programming experience - online, is desirable


• Proficiency in Prototrak/Siemens/Fanuc Heidenhain and Winmax controls


• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately


• Competence in using hand tools and basic maths for precise measurements


• Knowledge of materials properties and appropriate tooling selection for different applications
