We’re partnered with an established precision engineering business producing high-quality machined components for a range of industrial sectors.

The business operates a modern CNC machining facility, working across sliding-head and fixed-head machinery and producing complex components to tight, micron-level tolerances.

Due to continued demand, they’re looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Setter to join their production team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC turning machinery, producing precision components accurately and efficiently within a low-to-medium volume environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Setting and operating CNC turning machines

* Programming using FANUC controls

* Working with Star and Miyano machines

* Working across slidinghead and fixed-head turning

* Selecting tooling, workholding and cutting parameters

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Producing components to tight and micronlevel tolerances

* Carrying out inprocess inspection and dimensional checks

* Identifying and resolving basic machining issues

* Working closely with the production team to meet delivery requirements

* Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience as a CNC Turner

* Strong CNC turning and machinesetting experience

* FANUC programming experience

* Star or Miyano machine experience – essential

* Slidinghead or fixed-head turning experience

* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Experience machining to tight tolerances

* Good understanding of tooling and cutting conditions

* Twinspindle experience advantageous

* Strong attention to detail and quality

* Reliable, professional and team focused
