Job Description - CNC Turner lates

Our client is a global, leading precision component manufacturer primarily operating in the Aerospace sector. They manufacture precision engineered parts for aerospace customers (mainly precision fabrication and machining) and are looking for a CNC Turner to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with working on CNC Turning machines.

Job Description

Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
Ability to read and understand CNC code (Fanuc) to the level required for machine set up and operation.
Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc.
Use of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements.
Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Experience in a similar machining role.
