Cold Store Experienced PPT Drivers

Great opportunity to work as a Cold Store PPT Driver for our client's logistics centre, which deals with freezer work.

Staffline is recruiting Cold Store PPT Drivers/Warehouse Operatives in the Luton and Dunstable (LU4) area.

The rate of pay is:
- PM Shift £12.95 per hour
- Night Shift £13.40 per hour

Overtime is available after working 40 hours and is paid at:
- Warehouse Operative Backs - £16.50 per hour
- FLT 3 Shift Days - £18.00 per hour

Temp-to-perm opportunity, secure a permanent role after a successful probationary period!

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts and the hours of work are:
- PM Shift Monday to Friday, 1pm to 10pm
- Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday, 11pm to 8am

Your Time at Work

As a PPT Driver you will be responsible for:

- Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operating Electric Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) in sub-zero temperatures.
- Stock Management: Cross-docking frozen stock across the facility.
- Logistics: Loading and unloading distribution deliveries accurately.
- Site Care: Maintaining strict cleanliness, organization, and tidiness within the warehouse zone.
- Compliance: Following rigorous health and safety procedures at all times due to the specialized cold environment.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have proven, hands-on experience operating an Electric PPT and will need to provide a personal licence, which is strictly required. You will need to provide the personal FLT Certificates before you can start work.

Applicants will need high reliability, a flexible attitude toward shift extensions, and a strong eye for detail.

You will be physically fit and ready to work full shifts inside a heavy freezing environment (-22°C), handling frozen food.

Experience in a similar role required

Full Electric Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence
