This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Complete assigned technical tasks within agreed timeframes Support project delivery alongside internal and external project teams Carry out operational and support activities to SLA targets Deliver exceptional customer support and user experience Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues Support desktop deployments, upgrades, and configurations Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 10/11 preferred) Experience with Microsoft Office and end-user support SCCM experience including OS deployment, application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting Understanding of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting Knowledge of BitLocker, NTFS permissions, and desktop security practices Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Exchange environments, and collaboration tools Experience using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow Excellent communication and customer service skills Requirements Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) Sole UK nationality Applicants should have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years Successful candidates will undergo standard pre-employment screening including DBS and employment checks What's on Offer Salary up to £36,000 Stable long-term opportunity within a professional IT environment Exposure to enterprise-level technologies and projects Training and development opportunities Collaborative and supportive team culture If you're a proactive Desktop Engineer looking for your next onsite opportunity in Barrow-in-Furness, we'd love to hear from you.
