The Role
As a Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business quotations. Key Responsibilities

• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and new business enquiries
• Understand client risk exposures and tailor insurance solutions accordingly
• Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities and potential gaps in cover
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers, negotiating terms and handling queries
• Ensure records are accurate and compliant with company standards
• Support clients through claims processes, referring to internal specialists when needed
• Manage aged debtors and advise on premium finance options where appropriate

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a Commercial Insurance Account Handler role (1–2+ years preferred)
• Confident managing a portfolio of commercial clients
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and processes
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and client service skills
• Progress towards CII qualifications is advantageous but not essential
