Commercial Account Handler

We’re working with a well-respected insurance broker in the Stockport area who are looking to appoint a capable and experienced Commercial Account Handler. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on building lasting client relationships and managing a portfolio of cross-class commercial insurance policies.

As a Commercial Account Handler, you’ll work closely with Account Executives to deliver a high-quality service across all aspects of client servicing, renewals, and mid-term adjustments. You’ll also play a key role in spotting cross-selling opportunities and helping to strengthen insurer relationships.

The Commercial Account Handler role:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering day-to-day servicing and technical broking support.
• Work alongside Account Executives to ensure smooth and efficient renewals.
• Attend internal pre-renewal meetings and contribute to renewal strategy discussions.
• Obtain competitive renewal terms, handle mid-term changes, and ensure timely, accurate documentation and invoicing.
• Produce clear, professional renewal reports within agreed timeframes.
• Keep accurate client records in Acturis and ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
• Support ongoing team development by sharing knowledge and participating in insurer meetings.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler within insurance.
• Strong understanding of broking processes and commercial insurance products.
• Higher qualifications and Cert CII qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with Acturis software is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a client-first mindset.
