Commercial Accountant

An established £14m turnover manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key role focused on cost control, systems development, and delivering high-quality financial insight.

This is a newly created, permanent position, with scope for progression within a fast-growing group

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost analysis, track margins, and lead initiatives to identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities
• Develop and manage key financial KPIs to monitor business performance and support strategic decision-making
• Provide clear variance analysis and forecasting to highlight financial trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to longer-term financial planning
• Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting tools, with a focus on automation and data accuracy
• Ensure strong internal controls and full compliance with financial regulations and audit standards
• Partner with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and influence commercial decisions
• Maintain high reporting standards, consistently meeting tight deadlines under pressure

Candidate Profile:

• CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified ( QBE considered with relevant experience )
• Background in manufacturing or product based environments
• Strong understanding of costing and financial systems
• =Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Confident communicator, able to engage across the business
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Package & Benefits:

• £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable)
• 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days

• 1pm finish on Fridays!
