Commercial Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant, ideally with supply chain or manufacturing experience to join a dynamic finance team based in East Kent. This role focuses on optimising the financial aspects of supply chain operations, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights.
• Monitor and manage supply chain costs, identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain robust internal controls.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align financial objectives.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as month-end close processes.

About You:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (Studier) – CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
• Experience in accounting/finance, preferably from within a FMCG, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel for financial analysis.
• Ability to handle large datasets and drive process improvements.
