Commercial Accountant

Gleeson recruitment are working with a business in the Leicester area that are looking to recruit a Commercial Accountant to join their team.

The salary for this role is between £37,000 - £40,000.

Key responsibilities:

• Reconcile daily customer payments from direct bookings and agency partners
• Liaise with travel agents to issue invoices, manage billing agreements, and follow up on payments
• Process customer cancellations and refunds accurately in line with company policies
• Flag and escalate overdue payments to internal teams and external bodies when required
• Prepare weekly aged debt reports and support colleagues in resolving outstanding balances
• Support other departments with finance-related queries and ensure accurate booking data
• Reconcile bank activity against internal systems and assist with month-end processes

What you'll need:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
• Strong Excel skills and good general IT proficiency
• Confidence communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels
• Ability to manage your time and workload effectively
