Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for a Management Accountant / Commercial Accountant to join an established finance team in Burton upon Trent.

The role will have a strong focus on costing, commercial analysis and business partnering, working closely with the Cost Accountant and wider business to support key projects and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse management accounts and financial information
Support costing activities and provide analysis on costs and margins
Work closely with the Cost Accountant to provide additional support
Business partner with operational and commercial stakeholders
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Provide financial insight to support business decisions
Support key commercial and operational projects
Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and processes
Contribute to a collaborative and well-rounded finance team

Requirements

Strong costing experience is essential
Good understanding of management accounts and financial analysis
Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills
Confident communicator with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
Strong Excel skills
Proactive, analytical and able to work collaboratively
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification is desirable but not essential
Candidates qualified by experience or currently studying towards a qualification will also be considered
