Commercial Accountant

to join our clients growing Finance team. Our client is a large and well established group, who have a fantastic reputation within their sector. They now have an opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to take a lead role in a profitable and highly regarded division of this excellent business. Based near Ormskirk, our client has large, modern offices and is known as an excellent place to work.
Key responsibilities:
This is a broad and varied hands-on position where you will play a key commercial role. Working closely with the MD and Head of FP&A you will provide insightful analysis and support business decision-making.
Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts, providing detailed explanations for discrepancies.
Develop and maintain financial models.
Business Partnering - you will be working closely with the FC and MD of your entity to provide financial support and insights to drive performance and profitability of your entity.
You will assist with the financial and scenario modelling to support the review of new product launches and commercial pricing analysis.
You will provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
Monitor product (KPIs) and financial metrics, and report on financial performance.
Analyse cost and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Support with other ad hoc group finance projects.
Key skills:
Fully Qualified or studying towards recognised accountancy qualification.
This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
Strong Communication skills and ability to communicate to senior stakeholders form day one.
Strong Excel skills with data manipulation and financial modelling
