Commercial Analyst

Our client is a continually expanding operation who are enjoying success from increased market share and acquisitions. They have a newly created role for a Commercial Analyst to join their Commercial Insights team in Reading. the role will play a key role in supporting strategic pricing and cost initiatives across the function.
The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for cleansing, transforming, and validating data quality through advanced use of Excel, Power BI and various other systems. You will create interactive dashboards and analytical solutions to pricing initiatives, costs, and key market benchmarks, delivering insights that support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with the wider Supply Chain teams and suppliers to support the Commercial Insight Manager in pricing analysis and insight-driven initiatives
• Design, build, and enhance dashboards and reports to provide clear, actionable insights aligned with business goals and user needs
• Utilise Excel, Power BI and other systems to conduct data cleansing, transformation, and modelling across diverse data sources, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and high-quality to support effective reporting and business analysis
• Support the team with external benchmarking using internal and external sources to deliver market comparisons and practical insights
• Deliver regular cost price reporting and analysis, identifying key drivers of change and supporting forecasting

A salary of £35,000-£45,000 DOE plus benefits.
