Job Description - Commercial Analyst

Commercial Analyst | £35,000 – £40,000 | Chorley + Hybrid | High-growth, industry leading business | Fantastic team and culture

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering a highly-valued, long-term client as they recruit for a Commercial Analyst coming from a finance background and boasting exceptional Excel skills. This exciting role will work closely with the Commercial Manager and will be well suited to candidates looking to support the development, implementation and management of commercial strategy and controls within a high-growth, industry-leading business.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Support the development, implementation and management of commercial strategy and controls
Tracking and review of contract performance to budget and forecasts to support the financial accounts
Manage adherence to procurement processes and strategy
WIP management across business
Maximise the profitability of the business
Manage contract/project performance, including cost value reconciliation reviews
Review contracts and support with mitigating risk
Report on and challenge performance for project cashflows and profitability
Subcontractor management
Support the Ops team in daily commercial and contractual aspects
Support with ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement of business processes

Desired/Required Experience and Skills:

Finance background (ideally Part Qualified CIMA or ACCA)
Excellent attention to detail and an organised and methodical approach to work
Exceptional MS Excel and systems skills.
Creative and innovative approach to problem solving, bringing fresh ideas, suggestions and optimism
Able to constructively challenge team mindsets with a focus on continuous improvement
Analytical in nature with an inquisitive mindset
